As you may have seen yourself, we are temporarily allied to Instinct. This was a move that was discussed through myself, Rea, Lorek, Gen, and Mike. The entire meeting was discussing the temporary alliances with both Instinct and Equilibrium, but I stated the issues that were had when Equilibrium was brought up. So that will not be happening unless the guild turns opinion around.

The trial running period will be somewhere in the ballpark of 2-3 weeks. During this period, we will be running the first hour together and the 2nd hour we will split apart and attempt holds on our own individual castles. Most likely, we will all be in a single vent channel to make the first hour a bit more understandable. If this is the case, then please keep random talk to a minimum as it will be hard to hear where we are going and what we’re doing. Personally, I’m going to suggest middle Valk as our first rushing area. Lots of people, lots of fighting, lots of practice. It’ll certainly help with our organizational skills.

Events Page and The Point System

lol I’m sure you can see that at the moment, I’ve been so lazy that the events page has not been made yet. I’ll try to stop being so blasted lazy so that it’s more in line. Additionally, I’m going to be making a new page for guild item turn-in’s. The point system will be drawn up as soon as possible. I’ve already got a few ideas in mind that should indefinitely help. Any opinions and suggestions are always welcome on the matter to improve the overall scheme of things.

Tehe, images are good. Ahem. How I imagine the point system working involves the guild bank and the guild titles. Along the lines of:

Point gain = ((Base Item Cost x Number of Items) / 1,000) + (Zeny Donation To Bank / 1,000)

As you can see, each point you have is basically 1k zeny. There is a limit on things that can be donated and taken of course. For one; only items that someone (or the guild as a whole) could find useful would be accepted. Random quest items are accepted all depending on what quest and the item amount. Depending on how much of a response that this gets, I will be starting a third account to house the items (to which, it will probably be full of smiths and alchemists). The ability for the items to be confused with my own personal stock could be too high and cause a ruckus later on so this course is going to be taken in all likelihood.

Secondly; one that has points cannot withdraw zeny from the guild bank. Due to the bank not being replenished since our last castle hold, this option is on hold until we establish ourselves more prominently and gain a growing bank.

Lastly; while I’m not going to heavily enforce this last one, I do ask you take it into consideration. There are, in spite what some may think, some rare equips within the guild bank that I’m going to be putting on the point listings. Some of them are class specific. I would hope that you only take what you need for a character you use often (which I should hope is the one within the guild) as some others may need that item as their main instead of someone snagging it for an alt character.

Each item in the bank will be assigned a point value and point tallies will be drawn up for each person who donates an item/zeny. At the end of every week values will be researched for each individual item and marked on the point conversion page. Granted it’s not going to have a bunch of fancy forms and such, but eventually I will get that working for you all so it’s not as difficult to find what it is that you’re trading to see the values. The exact time will all depend on the numbers of the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. So one of those three days will serve as an updating time, but only the major items will be marked down such as Stems and Blue Herbs.

Two Main Officers = Three Shu’s?!

There are two main guild officers as you may know. Neko ( Wild~Rose ) and Danny ( :+:Danny:+: ). Both of which now have access to my account and are given authority to use it during Wednesday WoE’s. If one is not on, the other has the capability to run WoE in my absence due to my work. I would hope that you all give them the same respect you would give me during a WoE (er…make that more. How many times have you all said I’m lame? xD )

I will be handing the purchasing of supplies the day beforehand and making sure that you all have what’s needed. The exception of which are white potions, green potions and traps. These things can become too heavy and can be purchased at the tool shop nearby.

It’s almost the weekend and a guild level is upon us! Due to the fact that I’ve been falling asleep on accident for the past couple of days, we don’t have that level yet. lol I’ll see to it this weekend. I hope that the lot of you can attend the days at Thors for some uber leveling!

This way it’s a tad easier and the other guildies get their shares from it as well.

Equilibrium Talks

I’ve been a tad too busy to handle talks with Equilibrium’s leader. Once I do get talks with them settled down, I’ll see if we’ll have that stand alone alliance going with them. It should help with the overall holding and such and improve both of our chances at the hold in the end. There are a few ways that we were going to handle this:

1. We would switch off weeks and alternate between who does the holding on a week to week basis. Saturday and Wednesday included.
2. Having Love Suicide hold on the Saturdays and have Equilibrium hold on Wednesdays. With the current numbers and capabilities, this seems most ideal to get us both a castle when the time comes.

Now of course, both sides have their up’s and down’s. With plan number 1, we put Love Suicide on a potential downfall in terms of money when it comes to the guild bank. This can be rectified with me hunting my ass off to fill in the blanks. I don’t want the guild bank to suffer, so at the moment, I’m hunting in Bathories so that we don’t have that kind of shortage of funds due to bomb costs.

Plan number two gives Equilibrium a bit less of everything. As I can’t be there due to work, Neko can’t handle her High Priest, a Biochemist, and my Stalker all at once. This puts Equilibrium at a disadvantage. You all know that Wednesdays usually get a lower attendance by nearly all guilds in general since the time falls in a spot where we work and such. Well, at least on the West Coast.

However, with Equilibrium’s current casting, they are unable to break or put stalling abilities in place such as Close Confine or Ankle Snare. We can fill in the traps, but as of now, we need aida~ or someone else to handle the Close Confine. Traps can be handled by my alt account hunter (which I seriously need to level for SP).

For those that are unaware to what they have, they have mostly Scholars and High Priests. As far as I’ve seen, there are no breakers, so we would have to have one of our breakers temp with them during their holds to break for them while my Stalker is parked outside to rush in directly after the break.

The overall workings of how we would handle each WoE would of course be entirely dependent on which classes, and how many of which, that we see in a hold. It would help to see this more on a WoE to WoE basis to make sure the consistency can be counted on.

A bit of the Shu’s life freed

As a good deal of you may know, I no longer have a girlfriend so a lot of the time that was used to spend time with her is now freed up. So I’ll have a lot more time on RO now. A hell of a lot more time. Depending on what I’m doing and such, I’ll be holding more events and such. Speaking of which…

Hide and Seek

We’re doing yet another installment of hide and seek coming in today! lol I know it’s a bit of short notice, so depending on the turnout today, I’ll be holding it on February the 9th. Going by the attention span of last hide and seek, I’ll be holding 3 rounds of it before I stop. The prizes of course are all random and I should hope that the participants will come to me afterwards to get back the traveling money xD last time no one told me anything and just ended the event without ever really saying that they would be ending the participation. There have been quite a bit of things going on lately. The Saturday hold was superb in terms of attendance and I’d like to thank everyone for coming and keeping the area safe. By ourselves, we held a castle against others that were going to rush us badly. Breaking 5 minutes beforehand is usually unheard of in a WoE 1 fort, but we held.

lol I wish I had a picture of that group picture we took, but I totally forgot to upload it onto my server, so I’ll see about adding it when I get home. Again, I’d really like to thank you all for attending and making our first three-in-a-row hold possible. Of course, another thanks to Neko for leading on Wednesday when I’m unfortunately at work.

That covering the conquests, I’ll move onto contests! With the birthday of Love Suicide (and myself) coming around, I figured I’d hold a few contests. So let’s begin to cover the ones that are going to be held. And here’s where I steal an image from Neko since I’m at work and can’t find any character sprites xD

MVP Shu Hunt!

That’s right! I’m bringing it back, and hopefully I’ll be doing it more often. I’ll be announcing it on the forums in a thread somewhere concerning the time it’ll be held. Most likely a Friday, Wednesday, or Sunday. Really dependent on my schedule during the week.

The rules and such are like this:

During the hunt, I’m going to either hide on my Stalker or female Alchemist somewhere in the world of RO. The places I’ll hide will have no aggressive monsters (or just really weak ones like Mantis or Hydra.) and once hidden I will not move because I will be in guild to give out hints. The hints will be 3 or 4 in number and will of course contain clues as to where I’m hiding.

The first one to find MVP Shu gains the grand prize that will vary from hunt to hunt. Second and third places get something gradually less of course. And all participants will gain their travel money back (lol please don’t hop the ship to Amatsu 10 times.)

This will continuously go on for as long as I can financially support it on a hunt to hunt basis.

Emblem Creation!

We’re going to have a contest for creating a new emblem for Love Suicide. The emblem we have now is nice and all, but we need something new I think. If you really truly like the current emblem, then post about it here with why. The guidelines are simple:

1. Keep the Love Suicide creation story in mind when making the emblem.
2. Nothing profane that would grab the negative attention of the GM’s.
3. As a personal favor, please for the love of God, do not put “LS” somewhere on the emblem. lol I’m sorry, but it just seems so bleh to me.
4. Please post the character which you would like to associate your submission with as well as their ingame class in the emblem creation contest thread.

The last of the submissions will be accepted as described in the contest thread and as for the prize…that all depends on what class you’re associating with. If you post no class, I’m going to just give a general prize to the winner and runner-up. In the event of a tie for first place, a 2nd vote will be held. In the event of a tie for runner-up, the prize will be split between contestants.

Lastly Company

Slightly backtracking, I thank you all again for the growth that you’ve helped Love Suicide with. Of course, as you see, we’re out of space in the guild and need more. I’m going to be working to make a Thors TKM (I’m very close to completion) for that purpose. I can handle the TKM, but I need help in other areas. There are spots in the guild that aren’t really being used. I need people to get in contact with, or to talk to a close representative of the ones that have been incredibly inactive.

As some may have noticed, I have taken Ray out of the guild, but the second he returns to RO, I will make space one way or another. Tsu is a case that he is still in the guild, but it’s getting harder to tell if he’s going to return. Losing a minstrel is not something I would like, but at the moment, it’s not like we technically have him. Phoenix has been gone for quite some time as well, and I’d really like him to return, which is why I need to talk with Masa on the matter. If anyone would please ask about the status of Phoenix, that would help greatly.

Lastly on the matter, I would really appreciate if we could find more active bards and wizards to come WoE’ing with us. I’m proud to say we have a large amount of breakers, but only one to serve as a precast. xD Big thanks to Zan.

Now that that’s out of the way, another issue of business I must come to. Castle drops. Usually, as I have described in an earlier thread concerning castle drops, the guild bank receives 5 shares of the liquidated assets. This week however on the Saturday we have held, I’m going to be reducing the amount just for this week as our guild bank is in somewhat of a surplus. A heavy surplus actually. What this share cut means is that each individual will gain more out of the castle drops from this Saturday. This decision is also influenced by the fact that the Saturday/Monday drops have been somewhat not up to par with what I was hoping would drop.

Soon I will be posting screenies of the things available in the guild bank and take serious requests as to the contents. A lot of what is in there are donations from fellow guildies and I hope that they’ll be treated with respect. The fact of the matter is though that we have way too many things in the bank and hardly anyone requesting. Which don’t get me wrong, is great that you don’t want handouts or something, lol but requests will be considered in a far more lax manner for the time being.

For anyone that’s still reading, I applaud your attention span. I’m not sure I’d still be reading xD

I’ve been thinking about this for quite some time. A way to promote leveling or partying (even though the exp isn’t that great) and to start getting those supplies that would save lives in WoE. There are several issues that are occurring lately, only one of which I am not going to talk about publicly until it’s been carried out. Sorry, but that’s how it’s gotta be.

The WoE Schedule

Now I’m sorry if this decision has made it difficult for anyone, but I have chosen to give our turn on Saturday to FN Pirates. The reason is important, so I’d still like to ask everyone that can come, to come. Let’s snag a castle on Wednesday as well, shall we? It’s my last day off so I’m going to be there for WoE.

I’ve discussed this with Kakumei and FN Pirates and they agreed to it. All of it is arranged, so there will not be any confusion on Saturday.

The Redemption Zone

The point of this is to get rid of the extra things you pick up along the way. It will be awhile before I compile a full list of things, but all in all, they will be going towards the support of our WoE’ers. Appropriately, funds for such are going to come from the guild bank that we’ve established. If you should so feel that you want to hunt these items dedicatedly, that’s cool too. There is however a limit on what we need. Some such items will be:

• Crystal Fragment - 4,500z
• Stem - 1,500z
• Red and Yellow Gemstone - 1,000z

I realize that some of these items are not quite as high as they are in market. Redeeming them with the guild bank is, of course, completely at your own discretion. These items are all about aiding the guild. Stems for alcohol which will be converted into bombs, crystal fragments to protect our wizards and overall magic casting classes, and the gemstones for casting certain skills.

Former Castle Holds

All the shares from the castle holds have been given firsthand or mailed to each individual that attended during those specific holds within the guild. FN Pirates and Kakumei shares were also handed out to the respective guild leaders. If you attended WoE during a hold, you may want to check your mailbox. I left you goodies.

Abyss Party Today!

Well, considering that I have the time to do such today. Thanksgiving looms it’s head and guess who’s cookin’. Mostly Kim, but I’m totally helping too. In the event that there is time today to arrange an abyss party, I’ll do what I can for however long I can.

Yup, Sakray has Episode 12

I don’t think I need to tell you that Episode 12 is coming very soon. The testing server Sakray is up with Episode 12 and has a myriad of treats for you to use. An NPC even gives you 10,000,000 Zeny provided you don’t already have that much on you (or over). Testing the slotting NPC is what I did when I was there for a little bit. And I must say, it’s painful. Unless they change rates on the Premium servers, if you invested any money towards future slotting, you’re about to regret it. A lot. Maybe I should sell my stuff now.

The Wrap Up

Well, it’s probably known to everyone in the guild by now that we took bottom middle Lunia on Saturday and top left Lunia on Wednesday. The shares have been divided and they’re already been mailed out. The equips from the Wednesday are in the thread linked previously. These equips are open to members that did not attend WoE, but I need nominations. These must also be an upgrade from what the person currently has.

The thread on the iRO forums concerning the decision to split or not to split WoE has come to a close. Surprise surprise, Heim seems to think it’s one big conspiracy that the votes for the anti-split were higher. So what exactly does this mean for us? It means that they’re going to split the WoE 1 and WoE 2 sections apart. So the next thread they’re going to bring up is most likely going to be for the times for each WoE. The thing about that is that someone is now going to be screwed over. As things stand now, the West coast suffers on Wednesdays while Europe has it at a decent time as far as I’ve seen. Then on Saturdays, the West cost gets it good while Europe suffers.

If they make it so the time is pushed later, then Europe is suffering both times. Which will eventually cause people to quit RO in my opinion. As I’ve stated before, the next time something big comes up like that, I need all of the WoE frequents to post in that said thread.

While on the topic of WoE, I’ll take this time to say that we’re going to be holding this Saturday. I’ve got a bit of tricks up my sleeve to use. I’m hoping to see this used now that the guild leaders will be attending due to certain issues both Makkarei and Atsu ran into. Another little tidbit is that we have a new guild officer! Bombardier! Otherwise known as Kro. There were some conditions to get him to become guild officer, but for the most part, I’ll be covering those myself. Feels like Suikoden to me and I’m totally cool with that. I need to hold a meeting with Makkarei and Atsu soon concerning those conditions so we can operate more efficiently and hold more often.

Also, last night on the 3rd of November, big thanks to Dread for temping in the guild while leveling. I would like to have your babies. Please do that more often.

A lot has happened in the past few days, so I’m going to start addressing the lot of things that need to be addressed. If you read this and are in Love Suicide, FN Pirates, or Kakumei, please direct other guildsmen to read this post. It’s something that affects us all.

The Recent Castle Hold

As you most likely know by now, Kakumei has taken hold of bottom right Valk on Saturday. While this is great and the absolute first time our alliance has held a castle in Valkyrie Realms, there is one fundamental thing wrong with this. It was FN Pirates turn to hold.

During the last few minutes of WoE when we were holding, Killer Tomatoes came in with 5-7 members. One of them being a snap champion. Makk’s order to break the Emperium was shouted and by all means, breaking should have commenced then. Others were shouting that we don’t break.

This should never happen.

The leader of the WoE that day is the only one that should have the command to be breaking Emperium. You can by all means say something along the lines of, “We have dealt with the opposing force. There is no threat.” But never should someone be saying “Do not break the emp.”

There are some things discussed on a meeting that occurred September 21. One of which being that the leader of that day’s WoE needs to say something along the lines of: “This is (Jah Shujin, Makkarei, Vostvania), break the emp now!”

No deputing the matter as 10 people shouting at once gets very confusing which was the case then. Which caused Greywolf to hold on the actual breaking process. He was killed by the snap champion and FN Pirates lost their only temp-breaker.

The fact that people were shouting about the matter gave rise to a new policy which I will cover now.

The Result For Future Reference

The choice was either that FN Pirates would take their turn again or take the treasures that drop. A more obvious choice of taking the treasures now came by Makkarei’s decision due to the fact that holding next week is no guarantee. This would have also been at Love Suicide’s disadvantage as it pushes back our own people by one week when Greywolf is from LS and the idea of having Greywolf hop from guild to guild per WoE was mine.

For future reference. During other people’s holds, again, do not shout any commands concerning the Emperium. Doing this compromises the integrity of the guild leader whose turn it is and creates more vent clutter that disrupts the important command.

Let’s say that for example it’s Kakumei’s turn to hold. The emp room is rushed and Atsu gives the command to break, but one of our people says to not break. This opens up a can of worms. Now lets say their emp breakers are all dead. Each and every one of them and it’s at the point in WoE that if you don’t break now, you don’t get a castle. Someone from either Love Suicide or FN Pirates breaks the Emperium and takes the castle.

Every bit of treasure gained goes to Kakumei. This is something we need to avoid.

There is of course a conditional. If no one at all interferes with the command. We do all we can to hold back the force, but all of Kakumei’s breakers as well as Atsu dies. The only survivors are from FN Pirates. If FN Pirates somehow breaks the Emperium before the WoE and gets the castle when there was 100% no hope of Kakumei getting it, then the rights would belong to FN Pirates. Of course, do keep in mind that I can imagine the holding guild would give a cut to the guild that was supposed to have held. The original guild does not get left behind.

The Wednesday Concern

There is still no set written rule about it. Theories were discussed and favor for one method over another was expressed, but no details point for point were set down. This is how Wednesday holds are going to be as I understood it. Note the emphasis. If this is not how the others interpreted it, it will be put through review and then discussed more thoroughly.

1. Wednesdays are free for all. This does not mean however that we travel in separate groups. If you are to stray, it is for scouting other areas.
2. The loot entirely depends on attendance at the beginning of WoE. Let’s say that Love Suicide has 4 people show up, Kakumei has 5 people that show up, and FN Pirates has 3 people that show up. FN Pirates holds a castle that WoE. The divvy of the liquid assets of that WoE would go as follows:

   Love Suicide = 33.3%
   FN Pirates = 25%
   Kakumei = 41.6%

   The loot divvy of course going to the people who attended. Well, at least that’s how I handle the loot obtained. Kakumei has a guild fund to supply their people, whereas I am the guild fund.

3. The one’s that come after the starting point can attend, but will not have an effect on the loot divvy. I can imagine that there can be a few minutes of leeway time, but this needs to be discussed.

Feels like I covered everything concerning that. I’ll fill in any blanks that anyone discovers as I’m informed. Also, as usual, to receive supplies for any WoE from here on, they need to be posted in the most recent thread for WoE Sign-ups. If a thread is not made by me, by all means do what Kuros did and make the thread yourself.

That Hint of Chocolate

I’m sure that you’ve heard inklings of the discussions in Ventrilo that have hinted at the new ally that will be coming to the table. This ally is the old guild M&M. I have yet to speak with any of their members, but Atsu insists that they’re up for the idea. I want to have a meeting with myself, Makkarei, Atsu, and their guild leader. I don’t care if it’s in RO or Ventrilo. Terms also need to be discussed. They are a good force to have on our side. So I am for this idea.

If any of you express discontent with the idea of becoming their ally, tell me in the guild forums to discuss the issues.

Abyss Lake Parties

Parties were held off yesterday due to a birthday Lorek had and may very well be held back another day if we lack the items to actually get down to the map. The TKM is back on Loki and parties will be held as often as possible. The goal of the TKM is to get the lower tier leveled people to get up to at least 90 so they are in range of the TKM whose sole purpose is to kill down there.

The first party will be flexible with leveling. Only 1 or 2 leeching spots available at any time as we need to have the exp tap for days divisible by 5 on Gold Acidus. I would like there to be as close to a full party as possible to maximize our (and my TKM’s) killing power. Priests are always a must in this situation.

Loot of course will be divided up equally and parties are going to be alliance exclusives. So please, no outside alliance invites unless they’re recruit hopefuls. This is an effort that I made to make sure that the alliance gets stronger. Not the ones that will be fighting against us.

Concerning leeching, I will constantly have either my stalker or blacksmith down there. The stalker for obvious reasons and the smith to of course make elemental weapons for the alliance easier. When he hits a high enough level as a mastersmith, overupgrading will be a hell of a lot easier. Especially improving the fact that when RO has it’s formula’s reworked in the Renewal Project detailed in Doddler’s journal that the upgrade level of your gear will matter quite a bit with damage. Don’t expect the mastersmith to overupgrade that helm of yours, because they can’t upgrade armor.

Wrapping Up

A big hats off to everyone that attended yesterday’s WoE! Top left Payon is ours now and the Spirit of Fish I’m hoping will drop. Cause that would be awesome. The shares will be handled differently. As I can’t afford to buy shares off of any of you, the shares you have are static.

The thread listing the treasure drops is going to be available only through the Love Suicide and allies section. This is due to the fact that I’m just so horrifically lazy that I don’t want to edit out the vent information that’s in a lot of the screenies. To be able to view said threads, you need to sign up on the forums and tell me, mail me, or leave a message in my recruitment chats in game telling me that that is indeed you and you would like your permissions changed.

Last night, we began the guild relay. 10 Yggdrasil berries were obtained along with 2 EDP. These items are going into guild stock for future needs. Mostly this will go towards SP dependent classes such as wizards. Having a precast down for even a second could be quite costly. But it seems that with the new Scholar that attended last week, SP will not be an issue. So possibly more so for the asura monks.

The second part will be attempted today as there was a 30 minute to 12 hour cooldown.

The sign up thread I will again stress today. Sign up in the blasted thread please. Yesterday was a delightful dismay in that I was glad to see so many people on for WoE, but not even half of the participants signed up. This made supplying very difficult and unexpected. I even had to NPC a fire armor just to gather the supplies in whole. I also realize that I have yet to finish the supplies thread. Yesterday the forums had two parts added on like I said would be added on. First there is the WoE Concerns section. This is where we’ll be discussing things about WoE such as the sign up area for WoE which directly relates to the supply thread.

The other area that will be used is the Guild and personal party forum. When the TKM is back, I’ll be setting up a thread for who wants to go to abyss since it’ll have to be a big party. Smaller parties are possible, but I would like for as many as possible to show up.

The A2 Flop

What is it with our prospects just flopping over like this? The issue with the alliance that we were going to team up with is this: One of the guilds in their alliance were absorbed (against the better judgment of the guild leader.) and instead they are now going to ignore the plan. I will cover this more specifically when I am able in the forums. So the plan in general is going to be scrapped. If you see an alliance looking for something more, refer them to me or discuss it with them and inform me about it.

People actually dedicated to the idea, mind you.

August Contest

Prizes are still being mailed out and such. Just had a rough day yesterday is all. So far Neko has received hers. Next month I’ll have a much greater look at exactly how many points an individual has.
