With a heap load of neglect in terms of updating due to recent events, we’ve entered into an alliance with AE ( The remake of Imperial Order whose name I can still not remember) and BU (Baka’s United)! The meetings were fast, there were no huge objections against the alliance that were voiced, and the terms for the most part were discussed. lol I really should have updated this to say this earlier, but I’ve been quite busy since my work hours have been extended.

The order and terms of holding are as follows:

1. Turns are on a weekly basis
2. Turns in order are LS, AE, then BU. So this week is ours.
3. During WoE, vent hostings will be on our vent during LS and BU’s vent during AE and BU’s turns. Vent information can be found here. If unable to see it, you need to register on the forums and either speak to me or have an officer validate your LS guildmanship.
4. As with alliances like this, only the guild leader of the holding week may give the command to break a castle. Please refrain from breaking castles randomly as this restricts our breaking capacity endgame.

Guild Title Auction

As there was some delay on it being set up, the auction is proceeding from the 5th to the 10th. Once the month is over, on the 1st, the auction will resume as it normally would and winners of the auction will receive items to make up for the lost days based on what the end result of the auction is in terms of points used.

Recruitment Points

I’d like to thank those that have been recruiting, but alas! No one is actually fessing up for being responsible for the recruitment! This makes guild points impossible to distribute so you can’t quite increase your point total. The Recruitment Pickup Center is a good place to post with a screenie or name of who you picked up!

There have been a lot of things going on lately. So with what time I have, I’m going to try and cover as many points for the lot of you. Some good, some bad. So since no one is around to tell me what you’d rather hear first, I’ll start off with the bad news and finish with the good since that’s what I would rather do. Also, as a precursor, I’m fully aware that it’s April Fools Day. This post is in no way, shape, or form an attempt to trick anyone.

Alliance Split

You read that header right. The alliance is splitting as Devil’s Advocate’s decided to pull me into a meeting last night to state that they’re leaving the alliance. Later on, I found that they have already allied to Faction. This bullocks caught the Love Suicide attendees off guard, but myself personally, I saw this coming months in advance around the time of some of the first joint meetings while Lorek was in Poland. Of course, there was no way for me to know who they were going to ally with, there’s been a lot of association between Lorek and Darton as of late.

Which brings me to another point. While it was stated that Lorek wouldn’t hand the information to get onto our vent, I’ve still seen some unsavory people enter. While no trouble was started and it wasn’t Lorek who handed the information, it goes to show that there are people out there with the vent information. Soon I’m going to be changing that information. Might be today, might be a few days from now.

As for what is left of the alliance, from what I’ve heard from Lorek via the recorded meeting, Instinct is going on break or something. I’ll need to talk to their officers or something to see just what they plan on doing since DA is apparently not keeping them.

What does this change? Really not all too much. Towards the time they split off to “get back to their roots”, which never seemed to happen, alliance teamwork consisted of maybe seeing Lorek or Eggroll in the ending minutes. Other than that, nothing much has changed. We may either work co-op with Instinct or keep things going as we have been. Only thing now is that we have one more guild to worry about.

Guild Point System Released!

That’s right! I finally got off my arse and organized the guild point system and released it. This involved many hours of calculation and distraction and I’m hoping that it’s used for the greater benefit of the guild. Especially ones with gear that isn’t so good and could use improvements.

Speaking of which, the auction thread for guild titles is released today as it’s the 1st of the month!

The system is going to have more ways to earn points as soon as I work out the kinks for the entire lot of it all. Namely, one of the ways is going to involve guild tax and the other will involve recruitment. Point values however are still being touched on.

You bet! We have snagged the very first God piece that Love Suicide has ever seen! The Wheel of the Unknown is the piece and there is currently a discussion thread up in the forums concerning its future. I won’t disclose any of the information on here as the aforementioned thread is in a section that only guildies and allies can see. You can toss your two cents in on that thread and help decide where this item is going since you all worked long and hard for it.

The list of participants will be disclosed officially once I return home from work. This will help you know that you do indeed have mail coming to your character once the castle drops sell off. I really gotta make an official post where it states just what is done with the items. One that won’t be pushed down by other posts I make. All in all, if you were attending WoE that day, expect something.

As you may have seen yourself, we are temporarily allied to Instinct. This was a move that was discussed through myself, Rea, Lorek, Gen, and Mike. The entire meeting was discussing the temporary alliances with both Instinct and Equilibrium, but I stated the issues that were had when Equilibrium was brought up. So that will not be happening unless the guild turns opinion around.

The trial running period will be somewhere in the ballpark of 2-3 weeks. During this period, we will be running the first hour together and the 2nd hour we will split apart and attempt holds on our own individual castles. Most likely, we will all be in a single vent channel to make the first hour a bit more understandable. If this is the case, then please keep random talk to a minimum as it will be hard to hear where we are going and what we’re doing. Personally, I’m going to suggest middle Valk as our first rushing area. Lots of people, lots of fighting, lots of practice. It’ll certainly help with our organizational skills.

Events Page and The Point System

lol I’m sure you can see that at the moment, I’ve been so lazy that the events page has not been made yet. I’ll try to stop being so blasted lazy so that it’s more in line. Additionally, I’m going to be making a new page for guild item turn-in’s. The point system will be drawn up as soon as possible. I’ve already got a few ideas in mind that should indefinitely help. Any opinions and suggestions are always welcome on the matter to improve the overall scheme of things.

Tehe, images are good. Ahem. How I imagine the point system working involves the guild bank and the guild titles. Along the lines of:

Point gain = ((Base Item Cost x Number of Items) / 1,000) + (Zeny Donation To Bank / 1,000)

As you can see, each point you have is basically 1k zeny. There is a limit on things that can be donated and taken of course. For one; only items that someone (or the guild as a whole) could find useful would be accepted. Random quest items are accepted all depending on what quest and the item amount. Depending on how much of a response that this gets, I will be starting a third account to house the items (to which, it will probably be full of smiths and alchemists). The ability for the items to be confused with my own personal stock could be too high and cause a ruckus later on so this course is going to be taken in all likelihood.

Secondly; one that has points cannot withdraw zeny from the guild bank. Due to the bank not being replenished since our last castle hold, this option is on hold until we establish ourselves more prominently and gain a growing bank.

Lastly; while I’m not going to heavily enforce this last one, I do ask you take it into consideration. There are, in spite what some may think, some rare equips within the guild bank that I’m going to be putting on the point listings. Some of them are class specific. I would hope that you only take what you need for a character you use often (which I should hope is the one within the guild) as some others may need that item as their main instead of someone snagging it for an alt character.

Each item in the bank will be assigned a point value and point tallies will be drawn up for each person who donates an item/zeny. At the end of every week values will be researched for each individual item and marked on the point conversion page. Granted it’s not going to have a bunch of fancy forms and such, but eventually I will get that working for you all so it’s not as difficult to find what it is that you’re trading to see the values. The exact time will all depend on the numbers of the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. So one of those three days will serve as an updating time, but only the major items will be marked down such as Stems and Blue Herbs.

Two Main Officers = Three Shu’s?!

There are two main guild officers as you may know. Neko ( Wild~Rose ) and Danny ( :+:Danny:+: ). Both of which now have access to my account and are given authority to use it during Wednesday WoE’s. If one is not on, the other has the capability to run WoE in my absence due to my work. I would hope that you all give them the same respect you would give me during a WoE (er…make that more. How many times have you all said I’m lame? xD )

I will be handing the purchasing of supplies the day beforehand and making sure that you all have what’s needed. The exception of which are white potions, green potions and traps. These things can become too heavy and can be purchased at the tool shop nearby.

After talking and asking more about your take on the LS/EQ stand alone alliance, apparently there is more disapproval this time around. This means that I’m going to everyone that didn’t want to ally and find out their reasons for not wanting it to happen. I know a few of you the first time around were indifferent towards the matter. For the most part, everyone seemed cool about it besides zan and if I remember right, Mayhem. This time there are apparently those that would leave the guild over going into an alliance with them.

I do not particularly appreciate having used all this time going into meetings, writing up proposals, and overall losing a lot of time to actually play the game to find out only now that your decisions were actually “no”.

Treasures

On a lighter note, the treasures from the Saturday hold are finished in their collection. They’re really very good and we will be omitting one of the shares due to recent events due to some leaving. The shares will be mailed to the character that you attended on, so after today, start checking your mail.

EXP!

This week, the server has double exp going! I’m going to be trying to run in Thors as much as possible for those 85-95 depending on who is available. If you know priests/high priests in the 80+ range, you are welcome to ask for a party for thors. I just ask that you have fire armor prepared as you will undoubtedly die if you don’t have it.

Do keep in mind though that I am not a bank. Me taking you to Thors means that I personally spend about $10 in kafra points and about 1m an hour in pots. So please take that into consideration. If you are able to go, you undoubtedly will get a lot of experience unless you just wander off without the group. Levels 88-90 whooshed by fairly quick on my TKM that was on 50% tax.

Leveling of the Guild

Considering this week will be double experience and that the guild is only 24m away from a level, we’ll be having our new guild level pretty soon. Possibly even today if I go at it hardcore.

Well, I bet you all have been wonder just what was going to happen with the treasure from Wednesday where we were invariably given a castle to hold onto with basically no struggle involved. If you didn’t know, the server was having issues where it would crash whenever a sinx used Meteor Assault. Don’t know why seeing as how it’s been working perfectly all this time, but there you go.

The treasures from our hold these past few days have been pretty great. So I’ve been thinking that technically it was the hold from last Saturday, but it did exclude the people from Wednesday that were coming and wanted to WoE. So first off, I need to comprise a list from Neko on who was there during Wednesday WoE and Combine it with my current list of who was there on Saturday. The people that weren’t there on Saturday, but there on Wednesday are going to be put onto the same list and the shares will be divided like that. Hopefully the list is comprised soon as I have already begun selling off the items. Also, you will have to forgive me as I am keeping one of the equips within the guild bank. This is the slotted Legion Plate Armor that I’m going to reserve for a dedicated crusader or paladin.

Again, as it is with every WoE hold you can inquire as to what treasures we have and then you will have a bit of a discount with your share being deducted from the overall price of the item. Uni has already done as such with the first Baseball Cap that we managed to get (lol and sorry, the other two that we managed to get have already sold off). There have been quite a bit of things going on lately. The Saturday hold was superb in terms of attendance and I’d like to thank everyone for coming and keeping the area safe. By ourselves, we held a castle against others that were going to rush us badly. Breaking 5 minutes beforehand is usually unheard of in a WoE 1 fort, but we held.

lol I wish I had a picture of that group picture we took, but I totally forgot to upload it onto my server, so I’ll see about adding it when I get home. Again, I’d really like to thank you all for attending and making our first three-in-a-row hold possible. Of course, another thanks to Neko for leading on Wednesday when I’m unfortunately at work.

That covering the conquests, I’ll move onto contests! With the birthday of Love Suicide (and myself) coming around, I figured I’d hold a few contests. So let’s begin to cover the ones that are going to be held. And here’s where I steal an image from Neko since I’m at work and can’t find any character sprites xD

MVP Shu Hunt!

That’s right! I’m bringing it back, and hopefully I’ll be doing it more often. I’ll be announcing it on the forums in a thread somewhere concerning the time it’ll be held. Most likely a Friday, Wednesday, or Sunday. Really dependent on my schedule during the week.

The rules and such are like this:

During the hunt, I’m going to either hide on my Stalker or female Alchemist somewhere in the world of RO. The places I’ll hide will have no aggressive monsters (or just really weak ones like Mantis or Hydra.) and once hidden I will not move because I will be in guild to give out hints. The hints will be 3 or 4 in number and will of course contain clues as to where I’m hiding.

The first one to find MVP Shu gains the grand prize that will vary from hunt to hunt. Second and third places get something gradually less of course. And all participants will gain their travel money back (lol please don’t hop the ship to Amatsu 10 times.)

This will continuously go on for as long as I can financially support it on a hunt to hunt basis.

Emblem Creation!

We’re going to have a contest for creating a new emblem for Love Suicide. The emblem we have now is nice and all, but we need something new I think. If you really truly like the current emblem, then post about it here with why. The guidelines are simple:

1. Keep the Love Suicide creation story in mind when making the emblem.
2. Nothing profane that would grab the negative attention of the GM’s.
3. As a personal favor, please for the love of God, do not put “LS” somewhere on the emblem. lol I’m sorry, but it just seems so bleh to me.
4. Please post the character which you would like to associate your submission with as well as their ingame class in the emblem creation contest thread.

The last of the submissions will be accepted as described in the contest thread and as for the prize…that all depends on what class you’re associating with. If you post no class, I’m going to just give a general prize to the winner and runner-up. In the event of a tie for first place, a 2nd vote will be held. In the event of a tie for runner-up, the prize will be split between contestants.

Lastly Company

Slightly backtracking, I thank you all again for the growth that you’ve helped Love Suicide with. Of course, as you see, we’re out of space in the guild and need more. I’m going to be working to make a Thors TKM (I’m very close to completion) for that purpose. I can handle the TKM, but I need help in other areas. There are spots in the guild that aren’t really being used. I need people to get in contact with, or to talk to a close representative of the ones that have been incredibly inactive.

As some may have noticed, I have taken Ray out of the guild, but the second he returns to RO, I will make space one way or another. Tsu is a case that he is still in the guild, but it’s getting harder to tell if he’s going to return. Losing a minstrel is not something I would like, but at the moment, it’s not like we technically have him. Phoenix has been gone for quite some time as well, and I’d really like him to return, which is why I need to talk with Masa on the matter. If anyone would please ask about the status of Phoenix, that would help greatly.

Lastly on the matter, I would really appreciate if we could find more active bards and wizards to come WoE’ing with us. I’m proud to say we have a large amount of breakers, but only one to serve as a precast. xD Big thanks to Zan.

Now that that’s out of the way, another issue of business I must come to. Castle drops. Usually, as I have described in an earlier thread concerning castle drops, the guild bank receives 5 shares of the liquidated assets. This week however on the Saturday we have held, I’m going to be reducing the amount just for this week as our guild bank is in somewhat of a surplus. A heavy surplus actually. What this share cut means is that each individual will gain more out of the castle drops from this Saturday. This decision is also influenced by the fact that the Saturday/Monday drops have been somewhat not up to par with what I was hoping would drop.

Soon I will be posting screenies of the things available in the guild bank and take serious requests as to the contents. A lot of what is in there are donations from fellow guildies and I hope that they’ll be treated with respect. The fact of the matter is though that we have way too many things in the bank and hardly anyone requesting. Which don’t get me wrong, is great that you don’t want handouts or something, lol but requests will be considered in a far more lax manner for the time being.

For anyone that’s still reading, I applaud your attention span. I’m not sure I’d still be reading xD

One more congratulatory note, Devil’s Advocates have come into possession of the Snow Crystal! This item however will be sold off as per Lorek’s decision. Most likely to cover the great expenditures of WoE. For now, stay gold everyone and…

I’d like to first thank everyone that contributed to the guild gaining recall! While Saturday’s hold didn’t amount to the alliance gaining a castle, I like that the numbers we were showing were far greater than the week prior. We have new recruits, returning old friends, and a decreasing amount of spots within the guild. With the later of those three things into consideration, I’m going to be trying to limit the amount of alt characters within the guild. This of course can be relaxed with the gaining of guild level 12 and a point in guild extension. I need all the space I can muster for active people that can help each other level and participate in WoE.

Now Speaking of WoE….

I am going to have to re-judge how I send out the shares and such. This is all depending on how many show. Due to my calculations of how shares are divided { Overall Liquidation of Treasures / ([number of attendees] + 1 + [5 shares for guild bank]) }, it’s obvious that as we have more people attend, the amount of the share goes down. Of course, it’s more likely that the shares are actually able to be created and is a safer shot.

I’ll have to be thinking of a different way to do such things depending on how many attend. How shares are divided are to be stated the minutes after WoE has ended.

It’s About Time, Huh?

…That I did another promotion for the guild, that is! lol It’s nothing incredibly fancy, but it promotes growth of the guild. The thread covering the details can be found on the Love Suicide Recruitment Contest Thread. As stated within the thread, I’m going to hope that people also take time to level the guild. As space runs out, it makes the event a tad more limited.

Well, as you can tell, we held a castle on Saturday. Top right Valk to be specific. Since this was the first official WoE of the alliance, this is how we’re basing it. Since we held, we’re going to have Devil’s Advocates be the holder on next Saturday. As far as discussion has gone, Wednesdays are still up for grabs, especially due to the lowered amount of people attending on those days.

There was a slight snag on last Wednesdays WoE though. I had asked in a thread on the forums for someone to post screenies of the attendees or at least give me a list. No such list was given, thus I was unable to re-supply the people that had used their own things. I’m going to hope from here on that people actually do mark themselves down for going on Wednesdays since I feel it’s my responsibility to reimburse for the supplies used. Now by no means am I saying for you to go out there and blow 5m on Yggberries. That’s downright insane and I know you all have much better sense than that.

For those of you that are not on vent and thus unable to see the message I posted, castle drops are going to be handled as they always have. Useful possible-upgrades are going to be saved and put up for consideration for your main character. This meaning, if you do not attend WoE on them or spend a decent amount of time in the guild on that character, your request will not be placed evenly with someone who has that kind of character. Alt characters will only be approved after consideration.

Drop division will be handled on the Wednesday after WoE and shares within the guild will be divided once the vendable items are sold.

Lol Coupon and Morroc’s Destruction

Whadayaknow, Gravity actually associated with some other company to start coupon redemption. What does this mean for us? A whole snack pack full of new goodies only available through the service. Going from $5 to $20, it really leaves much to be desired, but the items inside the box will be game changing. Namely the item that takes you into a castle. Definitely something to think about.

In tomorrows maint, we’re going to experience a really big change to Morroc. Do whacha can while you can. If you have things to slot, then by all means, get that stuff out there. lol I personally am going to be poor for a very long time. Unless I get really lucky. As you have most likely have read, heard about, or experienced, the Love Suicide, FN Pirates, Kakumei alliance is no more. This was discussed at length with the guild officers among others that have found the actions and words of Kakumei’s leader intolerable. This has been going on for quite some time now and has been escalating as of late.

This has by no means left us vulnerable. It was also discussed that we acquire a new alliance. This is going to form between Devil’s Advocates and ourselves. Another alliance is in discussion now, but needs intervention with Lorek (DA’s leader) so that this can be a mutually favorable alliance.

In the event that you are still using the FN Pirates ventrilo server, you are still permitted for now via their leader. This will not always be the case, which is why I have purchased a new vent server in joint between Love Suicide and Devil’s Advocates. The information to get on can be found through the guild message. Please do not post the information out, even in our own forums unless you’re in a hidden section.

With the server information, I’m going to be changing the global password every now and then and I request that you talk to either myself or Neko to set up a user account. If asking Neko, do a few tests over vent since she hasn’t set up a good deal of accounts. Keep in mind your password, but if you forget, it can always be changed.
